What about sex? ·
As with your relationship, there is nothing to say that a positive diagnosis has to result in the end of your sex life.
But your sex life may have to change or adapt, and you may find at first your partner is wary about sex, particularly if you are negative. Using condoms with plenty of water-based or silicon-based lubricant for anal sex is recommended and you may consider the use of condoms for oral sex.
Why not try out new things sexually as alternatives to penetrative sex? Many couples affected by HIV do.
Free condoms and lube are available through Healthy Gay Scotland
